Bose

Bose NFL Sidelines Headset CMF Strategy

ram provided the CMF strategy and specifications for Bose’s NFL Coaches headsets during its inaugural year. This included special and unique offerings for Breast Cancer Awareness, Salute the Troops, and commemorative options for games such as the Super Bowl. “Of course Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers looked the best in the Salute the Troops STS Camo version.”-Rob

RIDGID

RIDGID Industrial Design Guidelines

RIDGID has always been one of the most trusted brands in tools. ram defined the industrial design guidelines for all of RIDGID’s core American made tools.

“The benefits of a corporate design strategy are both measurable and infinitely immeasurable. For an industry leader such as RIDGID, this discussion is never far from the collective thoughts of Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and everyone involved in new product development.

Beyond appearance, a design strategy can deliver a unique kinesthetic. The perfect merging of form and function. Through familiarity you begin to focus more on the task-at-hand and pay less on the operation of the tools you’re using. Therefore, the tool becomes an extension of the user. These deeper design qualities are often more difficult to document in a manual of design attributes, however getting the balance of product attributes right is in the end what forms the lasting impression of all RIDGID products.”

Bose

Bose The Full Spectrum of Sound - Color Strategy Guidelines 2014-2017.

ram helped Bose develop a comprehensive color strategy to attract new customers and re-engage existing ones while maintaining its position as a leader in the premium audio space. As Bose expanded its product line into more wearable and portable products, color became an important factor in attracting a younger more mobile audience to the brand. ram created a methodology for introducing colors that allows Bose to maintain its own distinctive brand identity while taking into consideration the latest trends in fashion and design from around the world.

Cover art for Bose The Full Spectrum of Sound a color strategy for 2013-2017 for the entire line of Bose products was written and developed by ram industrial design Rob Englert Meyer Giordano Don Carr.

Wendell Castle

Unicorn Series

ram was originally hired by Wendell Castle to help the furniture icon think through the automation of his process so his work could reach more people and his studio could live on into the future indefinitely. ram used surface modeling, 3D scanning, rapid prototyping, and advanced manufacturing methods to help Wendell create his Unicorn Series, which is an outdoor living room permanently installed in front of Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester, New York. This represents the culmination of our long-time collaboration. The pieces are cast from Cor-Ten Steel.
